a loose screw . . .

Home now.

We had a nice time at Jim & Gail's. The pictures from Alaska were great. Jim was able to show them all on the big TV screen. I expected to see a lot more eagle pictures, but they only saw a few. They did have a neat picture of a porcupine that was up a tree eating leaves. The landscapes and sunrise/sunsets were breathtaking! It was strange to see it being quite light at 11:00 p.m. though. It was cold there and they were all bundled up in a lot of the pictures, including gloves.

My glasses broke while we were there. Not the lens, but the screw came out on one side and fell into their carpet, never to be seen again. I had taken them off and laid them on my lap while watching the pictures because I can actually see better without them for distance. When I went to put them on is when they came apart. Also two tiny washers fell out, too. When we got home, I got out some 20 gauge wire and Pete put them back together and they really aren't too bad if you don't look closely. I'm not going to have time to go to the eye place tomorrow morning before I go to the gallery, so I will probably wait until Monday when I'm not rushed. I've worn glasses most all my life and this is the first time that has ever happened.

Just finished up everything I need to take tomorrow. Debra will be at the gallery, too, and I'm hoping we'll have time to talk because I want to hear about her recent trip to a family reunion she just got back from up in Pittsburgh. There were 200+ in attendance at their old homestead.

And because I have a hard time posting without a picture, here's one of a Blue Dasher (I think) and a white, tinged-in-pink Lotus.
