Yesterday my sister and I went to Floral City, about two hours north of us, to rent and test ride recumbent trikes. We rented the bikes for an hour and rode on the Withlacoochee State Trail that runs right through Floral City. Old Florida all the way, with the town being founded in the late 1800s. I enjoyed the ride and for me there were some pros and cons, but Mary Lou was smiling all the while. This bike is so perfect for her and her biking needs. I am so happy for her finding and soon to be ordering the bike of her dreams!
When we finished with the trikes, we stopped and had lunch in Inverness at a Chinese Restaurant.
About halfway home, we stopped for coffee and a walkaround. I was waiting in the car, camera in my lap, looking around for something to maybe photograph and suddenly this sweet little Yellow Rumped Warbler flew into the trees right in front of me and thoroughly entertained me as I waited.
When I first joined Audubon years ago one of the first things I remember our trail guide telling us was that he called them “butter butts.” So here you go . . . the sweet little butter butt.
