I have been sick for a week now. I went to the doctor Tuesday and I have bronchial sinusitis. I got some medicine for it and have been sleeping almost nonstop for the last three days. After sleeping all day in my recliner, I think….I probably won’t sleep at night, but I fall right asleep and sleep all night long. I’m stuffed up and coughing, pressure pain in my face, can’t seem to ever get warm enough, and have lost my sense of taste and smell now for many days. So frustrating!
I remember my dad always had sinus problems and eventually lost his sense of taste & smell. He would often try and find foods that he could taste. I remember that garlic was one of them, and he would pickle it or eat it raw. I wonder if that was because he was desperate to just be able to taste something. I now know how that feels, Dad, and it is maddening! I seem to get this sinus thing once a year about this time, although I did not get it last winter. I got a flu shot last January and I wonder if this is what prevented me from getting sick. I stupidly did not get one this year and now I’m sick again.
I feel like I’ve been away from Live Journal so long and there is much to catch up on. I’ll try and post some of the highlights, but for now I’ll work on today.
This morning I walked outside and around the back yard. Just that little bit of exertion made me feel dizzy, drained and weak. Pete asked me to take a picture of the slab he painted. We choose blue a while ago for it, and he got the paint earlier this week. Our temps have been in the high 60s and low 70s now for about a week and it was finally warm enough to paint this week. I think it will really look nice when we get the furniture and grills back up on it in a few days. In the morning it is in dappled sunlight, my favorite.
The closest corner here is where I want to place the table and chairs.
