a new kind of photo shoot . . .
I came home the other day and found a message from a friend. She asked me if I would photograph some high school girl athletes (basketball players I think). When I called her back today I found out more of what it is.
This is one of the projects her church takes on each year. They support a group of girls by photographing their team in different group shots, action shots and single still shots, then put together albums for each of them at the end of the school year. Many (or most all of them are underprivileged or low self esteem, I don’t know the whole story yet, but I said I would do it. The photographer they usually get to do this is out of town, so she was trying to find someone else and thought of me. I normally shoot outdoors--wildlife and nature, but this will be in an auditorium and of people,......so a bit different. October 28th is the day and Gail is going along as my director. I’ll let you know how it all turns out.
