Kathy, it's a great website! Easy to navigate, very pretty. I like the way you have written about yourself and your relationship to art (in addition to that awesome self portrait) and the captions for the galleries.
Are you sticking to photography only for this site or will there be some of your stain glass work for commissions or ornament sales?
Thank you so much! I was afraid it might look kind of plain or incomplete compared to some I've seen. Your words mean a lot to me.
Yes, I was thinking I might eventually have some stained glass. Small fused things like the ornaments or dragonflies. Also, I'd like to do note cards, too. I have them at the gallery and they do very well there.
Thank you, Mary Lou. I was trying to be neutral with the colors so it wouldn't distract from the photos. And thank you so much, too, for all your input and advice and help.
I've always liked the bombax black & white. It's such a beautiful flower that has a lot of flow and good lines to it. But I've never sold one of them. Most people don't know what it is. Maybe I should put it in the abstract gallery. And yes, the Fledglings. I remember that was my very first sale at the gallery when I started showing photography.
Wow, a beautiful photo straight up! I found this site easy to navigate and very well organised. I guess we can't expect any less that that from you, can we? I had to be inquisitive and look at the 'coming up' section early on. I thought under digitally enhanced you might put up some of your photos you play about with in such an artistic way. I really like them.
Thank you, Beth. I'm so glad you found it easy to navigate. In the "coming up sections" I will be putting other things that will eventually be for sale, too. The selection I have there now is just the beginning and I am definitely going to be adding more of the digitally enhanced photos (plus lots of other ones, too) as soon as I can. I'm glad you like those kinds of photos. I do, too.
having an option to get the pictures as cards would make things more available
sell them as sets instead of singles though so you have a minimum per sale .... tiny little sales are more of a hassle than making money. sadly cheap people end up costly ,

Thank you so much, dear faunhaert. I appreciate your tips.
Yes, I agree. I doubt I'll sell cards individually as postage will eat me up, and packet sets are the way to go. At the gallery I (and a lot of the other artists there) sell many cards. I advertise them as a little piece of art. And for those of us who still send cards, they are much cheaper than buying from a store where the same ones are made by the thousands.
