The news . . .

I spent a lot of the day preparing and getting ready for the party tonight. Gene & Myrna were totally surprised when they walked in the door, they had not a clue about anything, which in itself was worth it all to see the look of surprise on their faces.

Everything went well throughout the whole evening. Great appetizers. The meal was delicious, the tables and decorations were beautiful. Gail served prime rib, baby roasted potatoes, lemony green beans and wedge salad with homemade blue cheese or ranch dressing. Cake and coffee came later. Since it was their 60th and diamonds symbolize that year, there were diamonds scattered all over the tables, the napkin holders were diamond rings, place cards & favors like diamonds, the cake was decorated with diamond rings on top, and many other things related to diamonds.

Tomorrow we will be sliding back into normalcy around here and I’m looking forward to it. I have to go to the gallery early in the morning and replace a few things I sold in the last two weeks. Then Laurie & Tracy are probably coming over for a visit.

I hope to get some of the pictures together and make a post about our visit from Des & Chris.

Monday I’ve got a photography date with a friend to go to some new places in St. Pete. Pete just came in and said rain is predicted for Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, with Monday and Tuesday being the worst. So now I don’t know about the photographing.

I'm heading for my chair now . . .

This is my new wind chime I have hanging on the patio. It is made of glass and metal.
