The difference in color between with/without flash is particularly interesting. I like the amber-toned ones at the top better.

Good guess, you are so right! The amber colored ones are without a flash and the true color of the bottom of my old T-FAL pan. The difference is amazing and I rarely like a flash, but I like those better. Maybe because it shows more detail. Thanks for guessing.

Well, you are half right. I was washing my old T-FAL pan and saw the bubbles and water flow while I was rinsing and that was all it took for me to go get my camera. :))
