I made one last batch of dragonflies today--at least the last batch for a while. I think I have about 20 now and I’ll show them as soon as I get some pictures of them. I tried to make each one a little different.
The kiln reached temperature (1500) a couple of hours ago and I’ve let them anneal until just now.
I went out to lift the lid and see how they turned out. They are still way too hot to handle so they will stay there until tomorrow. But I saw my reflection in the lid and thought - ah-ha, there’s my picture for today.
Tomorrow I’m spending time with my girls--- Laurie, Tracy and Maria. First I need to buy some frames, get some more prints, then we’ll go to lunch (Mexican) and stop in at Mixons afterwards. Mixons is a local citrus industry around here. They have a really nice gift shop, lots of citrus for sale, lots of free samples, and the most delicious orange custard. It’s been years since I’ve been there. I used to go often with my mom. She really liked that place. Looking forward to a nice day and we'll be thinking of you, Mom.
