Mei Pei ~~ a cool and dark place to eat a delicious lunch . . .

Smokin' Harley man passing us on the right at 50 mph . . .

Cool sign . . .

While driving around the neighborhood I saw a plant growing in the crook of an oak tree . . .

I got out to investigate and saw it was an large orchid with tiny flowers . . .

Driving on, this red hedge caught my eye so I pulled over again to investigate . . .

Variegated Red Leaf Hibiscus. I've never seen one with red leaves like this one, and red flowers, too. Very striking!

We had rain for a week and now no rain for a week, so I watered this morning . . .

One of my cactus is blooming for all its worth! It usually starts putting out 50-60 buds at the beginning of spring. Good intentions, but just not enough energy for them all to bloom. Usually only a few even open, but this year it is the most it has every produced!

And right beside it is a rough looking cactus that produces teeny tiny yellowish flowers.
