O happy day!

Today is our 46th Anniversary! Pete always writes odd, unusual, or timely things in my card. Each year is a surprise I look forward to. This year he wrote: “46 years equals 16,192 days, 388,608 hours, 23,316,480 minutes, 1,398,988,800 seconds. How about that!” Whatever drove him to figure that one out--good or bad--I think it's pretty cool to know! :) Tracy says she's going to start calling her dad Rainman. Ha! good one, Trace.

Also, here’s a pretty neat quote sent via Sharon: “We sharpen each other like knives. She has a fearless imagination. She’s the person by which I measure all others. She’s who you want with you in a foxhole.” Tom Waits

Tonight we’re going out to dinner with a few friends and family. It's been gloomy, dark and rainy all day here, but I'm smiling!

Yesterday Pete & I went to a furniture store and bought ourselves a coffee table, two end tables and a sofa table. The old ones are over 25 years old and I have revamped and reinvented them so many times . . . enough is enough. The new ones won’t be in for a few weeks, so I’ll show you then.

And . . .
I was down at the pond yesterday trying to get some fresh and new photos for the sale in October and I got such a pleasant surprise!

I had been concentrating on a little White Peacock that was on a flower growing at the edge of the back pond and thinking I was getting some pretty good pictures of it. He was turning round and round showing me different poses. All of a sudden another butterfly flew into view and I just kept snapping away. So, now I just downloaded and am looking at what I got, and there’s this perfect little male Barred Sulfur butterfly fluttering around, too, trying to get into the picture. I know I’ll be using at least one of these in the show. What do you think? Any favorites? I'm really liking the 5th one.
