HDR

A little while ago my sister got an HDR (High Dynamic Range) software program for photography. A lot of what she gets and tries, I soon follow. This is one of the things we had planned to work on when we went up there on vacation, but now we are doing it long distance.

This program helps bring out details, show what's actually hidden in the shadows, tones down overexposed areas, makes things sharper, clearer and brighter and just overall enhances everything . . . and more.

You can also work with raw photos, or take three photos and overlay them and then the HDR program takes the best parts of the three photos and combines them into one. I haven't gotten that far yet, and this is only the second one I have tried to do anything with. I only used a single photo for this one.

This sweet little dove was all alone on the rocks overlooking the Mantee River at DeSoto.

p.s. Roaming, I hoped your little dove was okay today, but just went and read your post/comment and see that it might have been Marek's Disease.

Behind the cut is the original picture I started with
