a cemetery on wednesday . . .

We have been stopping at the DeSoto and Botanical Park at least once each day. (more on that later)

Today we went to see the Chihuly exhibit (he is my hero of glass) in St. Petersburg. It was Fabulous! Then we walked to a little cafe and had lunch.

Tomorrow we are going to the island to hike at Leffis Key, walk on Coquina Beach, then lunch at the Sandbar for Seafood MarVista.

It has been a little chilly this week, running about 60-70 or so each day. So far, it has only rained once.

Yesterday we met Priscilla for a Thai lunch and then went back to her house for more visiting and photographing. She had been up in Ohio for the last six weeks and had just returned a few days ago, so we had a lot of catching up to do. Mary Lou did some photographing of her super mask collection and other things.

When we left Priscilla's, we stopped at Fogartyville Cemetery -one of the oldest cemeteries in this area.

My sister, brother and I always loved wandering through cemeteries ever since we were children. Our parents used to take us and while they would visit the family grave sites, we kids would walk around looking at everything and observing the names and dates on the tombstones. This was the first time I have ever photographed in a cemetery before. Tomorrow we are also going to visit a little church cemetery just down the road from us.
