the end of moving and the beginning of shifting
Seumas and I, with the help of Neil, got my stuff out of storage and into my granny flat today. Didn't take very long at all. It's amazing how simple moving is when you don't have to pack up reams of junk. So my resolution for this year; collect no junk! It will pay-off in November.
I had planned to be all brave and bold and stay in my new home all alone this evening, but there'll be pleanty of time for that when Seumas goes back to Sydney, so here I am hanging around at his house again. He's not even here, he's gone to kung fu! A bit pathetic... but I'm at ease here. Tomorrow morning I will begin the grand unpack (so far I've just put sheets on my bed so I wouldn't have to do it when I get back tonight). All my books and CDs are in Port; haven't decided whether to bring them down and put them on the shelf just to put them away again in nine months or not... hmmm... So it will take me awhile to get everything satisfactory. Tomorrow I plan on doing my first food shop... I'd like to buy for the whole week, but that would require knowing what I'm going to cook. Normally it should be a little more simple, but next week is Seumas' last week, so I don't think I'll be at home as much as normal.
I'm trying to work out whether I can afford to eat the tins of flavoured tuna and the tubs of no-fat yoghurt to which I've become addicted to over summer. I guess I can try, and if I go bankrupt, there the answer shall be.
Tomorrow afternoon I have a meeting at 2:30, then one at 4. Seumas has one at 6, and IBM starts at 7. Then we have role-play up in Austinmer at 9. The plan is (from what I've heard) to play Vampire. Never played Vampire before, and Seumas doesn't have any of the source books, so yeah...
I think I'm going to call my new home the Hutch. Since I am a bunny at heart...
