Totally. You'll be hanging out in the ether not only with Jimmy Doohan, but also with Gene Roddenberry, and, if he sticks to what he said, Jonathan Frakes. Geekfest galore. :)

I saw that story earlier, and while it's impressive, I'd still rather go out the way Hunter S. Thompson did.

Sorry. The most excited I get about anything in the Star Trek franchise is when I listen to Jonathan Frakes playing the trombone on Phish's Hoist.

My geekdom extends only to Douglas Adams novels and one comic book, Bone, which I haven't read in years.

well that's alright then, Douglas Adams wrote some of the funniest scifi ever. Did you ever see his one non-fiction book?
