Many people have read Flowers for Algernon or seen the movie version, Charly.
Many people have remarked on Mad Cow Disease (BSE) and related brain diseases (TSE's). Organic meat (vegetarian-fed animals) is more popular now than it was before BSE was reported.
My guess is the audience from Algernon/Charly is one big driver of the organic meat market. That's the correlation study I would commission were I commissar. Studiests, go forth and study.
