porch lights as seen from above

Erik made a camera out of string. The hardest part was getting the world to be in straight lines. After that, all his pictures came out clear. Some of them had scratches on them, but that was just the world, not the picture. The main part of each was all the open space.

Tina carried with her a basket of books and cookies. She was ninety years old, silver on top, and all the kids in her neighborhood were speed readers. But they had to report their learnings too. Two of them had an idea they said was totally new, but Tina did not see how to prove it either way.

Sniffy's tail wagged whenever a car drove by. He always recalled the time he jumped in Man's car to go to the park, and it was running, and the brake was off, and he put it in gear and gently floored it. Steering was easy since the wheel had spokes. He barked going around the uphill curve, warning everybody to watch out. All the lights were green, and when he got to the park the duck pond slowed everything back down. Man wasn't there yet, so Sniffy ran around playing duck tag until he arrived. Later that day he ate at the table with everyone watching, which was really really weird.
