As some of you know,
madkingludwig has been working on the Barack Obama campaign in Ohio for the past few weeks. He was just asked to emcee a fundraising event for Obama on Wednesday, February 27th, hosted by the owners of the Arbor Brewing Company at the
Corner Brewery (720 Norris St, Ypsi). They've booked several musicians and authors, including my friends, Nick and Reggie of
Reggie Smith & The After Party. Doors open at 7pm.
We're asking for a voluntary donation of at least $10 either at the door or by donating online
here. If you donate online, you'll be e-mailed a special pass to attend the event. if you cannot attend but would still like to contribute, click
here.
If you voted "Uncommitted" in Michigan's primary but wish you could have voted for Obama, this is one way to have your voice heard. We’d like to get the funds to Obama in advance of the March 4th primaries when he’ll really need them to flood the airwaves of Ohio and Texas. I know this is really short notice, and I'm not sure what your political leanings are this election season, but I thought I'd let everyone know about it.
It should be a night full of good music and good people, and we'll both be there.
madkingludwig will be the one in the white suit and American flag tie (which was made in China;) holding a microphone. If you can think of anyone else who might be interested, please feel free to pass the word. Details are below.
