YAY! Happy Thanksgiving all! Just a quick post this morning as I wait for the hubby to wake up. We are spending the day at my parents' house. My brother arrived from Philly, which I am excited about. We have turkey and all the trimmings AND a Tofurky too. I will have some of each, please!
I am thankful this year for many things:
I am thankful for my husband and my marriage. We have been on a long journey so far, but it is just the beginning. There have been rocky patches in the road, and there are bound to be more, but lately we have been enjoying being side by side during our travels. I am grateful for this, and couldn't be happier!
I am thankful for my family, my mom and dad and brother, who are always there for me, through all my crazy ideas and busy times and scared times. I know I can count on them to make me feel better, listen to me, and cheer me up.
I am thankful for our doggie Zoey, who is a warm bundle of snuggle on cold nights, constant encouragement to go out for a walk and get exercise, and of course the ultimate crumb catcher (well, moocher).
I am thankful for my friends, both ones I see face to face and ones I know online. I am grateful to have so many great, creative women within my reach who will brainstorm with me, commiserate with me, or just listen to me. Thanks girls!
I am thankful for my career, which I feel is at a level of success that I only dreamed of as a child. I am so happy to be doing what I do for a living. I am thankful for my customers, editors, and supporters, who make me excited to wake up every morning and get to work. It makes work seem more like play. I am thankful for my creativity, and my motivation to excel.
I am thankful for my health. I am thankful for my home. We are truly fortunate to have warmth, good food, clean water, and shelter.
Today's song/video is Thank U by Alanis Morrisette. She is so cute in her braids! It makes me miss my long hair a bit. I thinkI will wear pigtails today. Maybe I can eek two small braids out, we will see...
