Ok, today the first lady was on campus for some speech. Well I woke up this morning and saw a satellite truck outside my window, and I'm thinking hmm the NSA isn't bothering with being sneaky anymore. Well I guess they were there bc Mrs Bush was giving her speech in the building right next to where I live. OK. Well I go to my first class at 9:30 and there are NOPD everywhere directing car and foot traffic. I kind of just walked around the barriers and no one stopped me, but supposedly they were hard asses about it after that. Well after all of my classes were done for the day I was walking back the way I usually do and that was ok because the big shindig was over. Well Im almost to my dorm when I see these cameras and lights set up. I don't get overly excited because I figure if Anderson Cooper was here I would know it. So Im looking for the local NOLA new anchors and not seeing any of them either. And Then BAM! BRIAN WILLIAMS IS THERE!!!! Like 5 feet from me. AH. It was so cool. Sorry for the long drawn out story but im sure your eyes flew down to the caps = important part. So I did my typical celebrity stalker routine of finding any reason to keep walking by them and went to check my mail and buy a snack. Im lame, but Brian Williams is my second favorite guy in newscasting. And guess who is coming to NOLA June 25th? MY Number one news man. YAy.
