003. Emotions revived

Nov 08, 2009 15:07

I apologize for the hassle I may have caused recently. I've had no luck with finding Lucy; if anyone sees her, tell her to see me immediately.

Range has returned, but he's been turned into a dog. He has lost his memories again.

I'll be sure to let you know if I see her, Aurora.

I appreciate it, Cara.

The voice and the personality are the same, and he is just- [A pause] He is Range. I have no doubt about this.

Have you had a chance to read some of the other journal entries? It seems like a lot of people have animals following them who sound and act like their friends.

I've noticed. At best, it seemed that people only found the animals to be "familiar" and could not identify them by name. It's possible part of the populace has been turned into animals and it was only luck that Range managed to find someone who actually knew him.

[more inkblot.]

I do know the name of my animal, and I have some memory of him. But he's not in Edensphere, or at least he hasn't been in the time that I've been here.

That doesn't prove anything. Range has been missing, yes, but he never disappeared. Bastet has his journal; she would have mentioned any changes.

Okay. I'm just letting you know that it hasn't been the case for my critter.

It's possible there isn't a commonality between the cases. Many of the accounts fail to line up with each other enough to form a viable conclusion.
