so last friday in nyc rocked. it was actually a play, not a prayer service, but it made me think alot about the things ive been doing lately, and as i told kellie and bob it made me decided i dont wanna be caught "with my pants down" (literally and figuratively) when jesus comes, cuz what if he were to show up this instant? i wouldnt wanna be trashed and making out with someone! the coolest part was getting to know the people from bible study outside of bible study without adults around. turns out pj and i have quite a bit in common, jen (the bible study teacher's daughter) is wicked hilarious, and kirril is just as clueless as the rest of us and is really quiet, but once you get him talking, he talks. a couple of the russian kids came with us, the girls were total sweethearts, although they acted their age (17-19) and the one boy with them is shy with girls, but quite talkative with the guys so it was really amusing.
i was supposed to be fasting for three days, but given the fact that im pmsing its impossible at the moment. so i think ill do that next week. although given my medical history and the tendency i have to starve myself for a few weeks at a time when i stop eating even for one day, i dont know that its such a good idea. God wont let me kill myself, so i really dont think theres anything to worry about, especially since im not doing it for a selfish reason, im doing it for the needs of others.
work hasnt been so bad, but last week i missed a day. i had to get my car work on. the joint that turns the front wheels was about to break and it was imperitive that i get it fixed. kellie, im sure you remember that noise way back when, the first time we went to see andrew actually, that i said my car sounded funny, the one we heard when i would speed up or turn. it got ALOT worse, so that it was clanking every time i so much as nudged the car to the right or left. was much worse after it rained for days and days then got below freezing at night. sounds great now and we suspect my car will make it anohter hundred thousand miles! okay, maybe less, it already has 188,000 on it. gotta start looking for a new car. time to pray!
work work work. cant wait to get out of here. cant wait to get the motivation to find something new. anything that requires office work and pays my $8/hour, 40hours/week and maybe closer to home. (right now i make $7.96/34hours/week, and spend $50 on driving) this will do for now, and i have a week of vacation coming up the second week of december, so i gotta stay til at least the third week! cant leave without getting paid time off!
yay, lets go see what im doing today!!!
