Write a letter to your younger self.
Dear Me Rose.
I don’t think you will completely understand this letter or how you come to be reading it for a good few years to come, but trust me, one day you will understand how this is all possible. One day a man will come into your life and he will show you things you only ever imagined or had seen on tv shows or films. He will show you that there is so much more to this world, to your life than you could ever believe. On top of all that he will show you that you, Rose Tyler, are someone better than you or anyone else ever thought possible.
I can’t tell you too much about him because of how it could effect your…our future, I just think that you need to know that there is so much more to this world than what you see it for. There’s more to life than boys, clothes, money and, yeah, the world mum lives in. One day she’ll realise that you’ve got to grow up and do your own thing, she won’t like it and she’ll yell at you at times, the best way she does, but she’ll be so proud of you. She’ll be so very proud. After all, the thing you’ll get up to in the future, no one can really say your life is dull or worthless.
Just remember, be brave, give the world hell and follow your heart. At times things will hurt and they will hurt you a hell of a lot but keep fighting because you will see that your life is better than anyone else’s. You won’t be rich, you won’t be famous but you will live a life than most would envy you for.
Oh, and Rose…this man, when you meet him. Give him hell, he loves a good challenge.
