Cole barked a few orders to a few of the men with her, pointing at various possitions. "Make sure that we have enough medical supplies, we need to be ready for anything

The Alpha nodded. "Lemme guess... You're an empath, real early on in your training... Minimal shields... This is a kind of proving ground for you, then? Get some real practice with them in? You look like they're not doing much to help you." He shook his head a bit. "Soundwave was a telepath... Due to a very interesting bit of hardware and driver software. He could hear and distinguish individual on/off states changing in both other Cybertronians and even, to a degree, some carbon-based life. If you're an empath, then it's more spiritual, if you're not just reading body language, anyway. Something to do with your spark, probably."
"Yeah," Razorclaw admitted, a bit surprised that anyone here knew even as much about Transformers as this. "Empath, sometimes bordering on telepathy. Dad can catch people's thoughts sometimes, especially if they're thinkin about somethin that's tied to an emotional response. And I know he can 'path to Mom..."
He avoided saying that most of the thoughts his Dad tended to pick up from people were things that they were afraid of...
"We dunno why Dad's like that though. Grampa isn't, so either it's just some wierd fluke... or it's somethin the Maximals did on purpose. I dunno which'd be worse..."
"Skitter's the same, so she got left with Grampa. If she was here..," he paused and shivered at the thought. "She'd have totally flipped out by now, and you don't wanna be anywhere near Skit when she has a crying fit, trust me..."
Al shook its head. "No worries. You need to get a message to your dad, or him to you, I'll stick with you, okay? Besides, with your shields acting up, you probably need an oasis."
It rubbed its chin for a while. "It's probably not something worth thinking about. I take it your sister has a sort of wild talent, and a capacity for either heavy destruction or empathic influence?"
"She kinda takes after mom, but she's not really old enough to control it," Razorclaw said, and then realised he'd better explain that. "It's sorta a wierd sound-based thing... kinda like... Have you ever played the Mortal Kombat games or seen the second movie? Know who Queen Sindel is? Kinda like that. Only with a red light show and, if it's Skit havin a cryin fit, a LOT of colateral damage."
"I was taking him to one of the less populated areas so that he can rest a bit. I can set the sensors around it to nullify the waves so he can calm down a little. Been playing with the sensor arrays there." She said calmly.
Razorclaw sighed. "I still don't think that'll work, Cole... I mean... you can't really go far enough to get away from yourself." He smirked. "No matter where you go, there you are."
Ross wandered away from the activity at the base, looking for somewhere to clear his head. Nothing seemed to really make sense. "Not my fault", he muttered to himself. "'S their problem, not mine." Distracted, he nearly walked into the discussion without realising.
I kinda came to help... with the mission and all. Cept Dad said I hadda stay here if I came, and... I guess I kinda understand why now... but... There's nothin to do, adn I feel about as useless as if I'd stayed at home...
*realises Ross probably meant his being a Transformer* Oh... yeah... that... I'm a Transformer. We're... kinda from another planet...
Whoa... that's cool! You came all that way just to help us out? *he pauses a moment* Stupid they won't let us help. I know what the place they're going to's like - and I'm just stuck here...
*slight shiver* I know why Dad wanted me to stay behind... I'm an empath. That means I kinda... well... I can tell what others are feelin, sometimes. And with everyone angry and upset an everything else...
When I first got here, I thought I was gonna puke or somethin. It's quieter now, though... but... I still wish I was doin somethin to help...
