A flash of bright light in the distance; the EMP bomb had gone off.

It was, finally, time to move out.

"That's it!" Ryan yelled, scrambling to his feet, feeling a little chilled even though he knew that it was too far away to have affected him at all.

"Everyone! Let's get going!"

This is Fortune's newest project: an electromagnetic-acceleration motorcycle, built with the ultimate goal of being able to pierce the sound barrier. It isn't finished, of course, or even near it--but it works, and it has its own abilities beyond those of a simple motorcycle.

She calls it the Garland 6--why, exactly, isn't clear, aside from the fact that she's mentioned that its inspiration came from an anime series.

Her normal robes are gone; today, she wears an outfit that seems like a cross between motorcycle leathers and a suit of tight-fitting power armor, with similar helmet.

He glances across at her and grins. "Glad you could make it. Always good to get someone else on the team. Who're you going in with? Don't remember you saying..."

There probably isn't the time to start asking questions, though, he thinks, checking his own weapons and armour. At a distance, the troops would probably mistake him for one of their own. But after that... no telling.

"Distraction, of course," she says back, her wide grin invisible under the helmet. "Pound everything in sight... and, if I have the opportunity, do some hacking of the base's systems."

He gives her the thumbs up. "Sounds like a good plan to me. Come on." With that, he started to run, heading for the base itself.

In response, the cycle shifts into full gear, blasting off towards the base.

Even running at top speed, there's no way Ryan can keep up with the cycle - he watches as she vanishes towards the explosions where Skywarp is already blasting down the house. The terrain under her wheels is rough and treacherous.
Ryan settles into his normal running pace and follows.
