((I'd originally planned on pausing all of Kaci's LJ activities, but after it started to draw out for longer I made a bit of a change to the plans and she's currently lurking around elsewhere from time to time, dropping comments to others' LJs with the excuse that until the scouts get back, she's still got some spare time on her hands (tyres, whatever) in which to use her wireless access to check up on what's been happening back home ('back home' being the various places she usually hangs out at, with the people she usually talks to outside of the Sages Nexus). She's also made an entry in her journal since the "I'm gonna be away for a while" note that she put up at the beginning of the mission, so that'll give you some idea of the sort of "excuses" I've come up with to keep her activity on other LJs going until we get moved further along, so that neither mun or pup are bored out of their minds in the meantime. ;)
So in short, yes I'm pretty cool with it. I make sure to check this place often enough to be able to spot if something changes and we need to start moving in, but until then I think Kaci's gotten the excuses covered so she's probably not going to be held up or anything. The only worry I might have is that in her note, she's said to her driver/team partner that she'll be back by the time both of them need to return to Knight Foundation HQ. But the character of Donna isn't being played separately by anyone else, Kaci's not currently involved in any other storylines, and as Kaci is part of my own AU chances are it won't be too hard to have all the excuses covered. :) ))
((I've been playing Ryan a similar way, I guess - assuming he's based over at the Alpha base camp, but he's been T-Watch-ing to the Nexus to check on people or using the computer facilities at the base to see it through VR. Don't know how long the scouts have been gone in RP-time, but I'm assuming it's long enough for whatever's needed to happen to happen. (If that makes sense.)
