Once a normal base, this has become home to some of the Authority's worst ever experiments. It stands alone, miles from anything that could be called civilization. Their best kept secret - until now.
At the waterfall-side of the base, invisible and almost entirely silent, the Tachikoma scales the last bit of the cliff and comes up into the base proper, its sensors set to full gain.
Carefully avoiding confrontations, the Tachikoma searches for a way to enter the base--or, if the oppourtunity arises, a secluded spot to jack in to the base's computer systems and do a little on-the-spot hacking.
The entrances to the main buildings are guarded, but there are signs near the doors indicating roughly what's there - for most of them, anyway. A few buildings, smaller ones, are unmarked, but more heavily guarded.
The Tachikoma pauses, considering, and then decides to examine one of the unmarked buildings more closely, watching the behavior and schedule of the guards around it.
They're moving in quite a regular pattern, though at any one time there seem to be guards covering any angle. They're coming and going from inside the building, though.
Waiting for a likely gap in the pattern, the Tachikoma follows one of them into the building, moving onto one of the walls and then up to the ceiling once inside.
"We're inside the base. Things are quiet so far; we haven't had any real luck discerning any good locations to investigate. Right now it's wander and look around."

The Tachikoma asks the Alpha ensconed in its pod, "What's the other scout doing, and is he having any luck?"
