Before Sunrise I suppose...

I was sick yesterday and ended up calling my mom on the phone, sobbing. Not that she could do anything, but my mom is always the first person that I want when I feel sick.

Had a crazy weekend, with river rapids and snow and Afterglow. Too much to update on, except that the hike in the snow was absolutely amazing, even though Jane explained to me that the snow was “shit” because it was really just sleet, but it was still pretty great.

It has been pouring here non-stop and almost every walk-way is flooded so that you can’t get through campus without getting your shoes completely soaked.

I turned in my first story today for Fiction Workshop. I am excited and nervous at the same time to hear what my classmates have to say about it.

I am so extremely ready for a break from school and think that this road trip will be great.

My laundry is about to explode, I have so much and the dryers here are so horrible that I am contemplating taking it to a Laundromat downtown.

I went to a Safe Space training session today. So now I can become an ally for gay, lesbian, bi and transsexual / transgender people. I get to put a sticker on my door so people know that they can come talk to me in a safe and supportive environment. It’s exciting, but Kyle has been an ally for a year and no one has come to his door. Alan has also been an ally for a while and said that once someone came to his door and asked how he could put “such a disgusting sign up.” Hah. That blows my mind and is really sad.

But anyways, I thought I should update because I haven’t in a while.
