Doctor Who series 6 ep 02, Day of the Moon
WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!?!!?
Well actually I was watching with my husband and kids (in the dark as is proper for scaring kids with Who), and I had to watch what I said, but basically just said, "THE HELL?!?!?!?" over and over again. I'd get over one mindfuckery thing and try to put it behind me and THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE! They JUST KEPT COMING!
When the little girl regenerated, my husband and I had our minds blown and we talked it out:
She had to be in that life support suit to keep her alive or something, right? cause when she regenerated, she said she was dying but it was alright, she could make it better. So we decided, that maybe Time Lord DNA and Human DND don't mix well, so the child ends up not being very healthy or something - which makes the girl a half Time Lord, and since Amy is the one in the photo holding the baby... we were both like Oh you NAUGHTY DOCTOR!
Then I thought well, what if she's River's daughter, and Amy was in the pic as her godmother or something, right? But wouldn't that mean River saw her own daughter in the suit? ... or did she ever actually SEE the girl? She was down in the hole when the Doctor and Amy first saw it and Amy shot it. And the next time we see the girl in the suit is at the orphanage when she escapes the suit. So, no I don't think River ever actually saw anyone in the suit.
But then the girl could just be another Time Lord altogether, who knows, but I don't think so. I know it's an odd thing to fixate on, but if I tried to make sense of the whole show so far, I'd be in a straight jacket too!
