Kids say that they will never understand why their parents discipline them.
Parents say that their kids don't understand why parents need to ground their children.
Women say that they don't understand why men give them the wrong gifts.
Men say that they will never understand what women like.
Students say that their teachers don't understand their need to be free.
Teachers say that they don't understand why their students disobey the rules.
Most of the time, people don't understand each other. Why?
Because we're often too busy staring at our computer screens to notice what other people want us to know.
Because we want to act cool by making everything about ourselves a secret everyone should puzzle out.
Because sometimes we're too narrow-minded to listen to sense.
Because we're too busy listening to songs full of cuss words instead of listening to the wise words of our elders.
Because we're too wrapped up in creating our "little perfect worlds" in our minds to see what is really happening.
So basically, people who don't understand each other lack COMMUNICATION. Communication goes way beyond writing and speaking. It also involves UNDERSTANDING.
Change into someone who understands. COMMUNICATE.
Took this off from my friend's blog in Friendster, such a beautiful thing isn't it..?:)
