Mawwage
mawwage is what bwings uth together today....
or so went one of the readings from CJ and Elaine's wedding. As expected, they took the typical wedding service and turned it on it's ear. There was a song about weasels (Note to self: pester CJ for a copy of the score when he gets back.) and in addition to the normal vows they added bits like "Neither rain, nor sleet, nor dark of night..." and "with Liberty and Justice for all"
The reception followed immediately, using the same tent as for the service (in fact, there were tables already set up between rows of seats, so that people only had to turn around.) Burgers, chicken and Brats were the fare of the day, along with 8 (!!!) differently flavored wedding cakes. An inflatable bouncy castle set off to the side for children big and small to jump around in and have fun.
The sun set and the jets roared overhead (with impeccable timing to provide emphasis to his Mother's toast!) The band set up and kept the dance floor hopping all night. Gotta love a live performance, I'll take that over a DJ almost any time. Nerf guns and Winston Churchill provided entertainment during breaks, and I proved to be quite the sniper. Best shot was one where I pinged Elaine from across the tent, arcing the shot to give it enough distance.
