We've got the answer inside of us, it's time we took the disguises off...

Hillsong United was...

It was by far one of the best worship experiences I've ever had. It was basically an hour of worship, a half hour of preaching, and another hour of worship. And the funny thing is that they did almost all fast or upbeat songs, which isn't usually what I like, but it was all SO ANOINTED. Oh my gosh. I've never felt the need to bust out all of my intense white-girl moves like I did on Saturday....the new songs just really get the joy juice flowing!

Especially this song... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xtUsJOHsA8&feature=related

Ahhhhh, the guitar and the bass line gets me goinggggggg.

I've never been in a room with so many people worshipping God. It was INCREDIBLE to see. It was an entire convention center filled to the brim with people. The whole time I just kept thinking, "This is what Heaven's gonna look like times ten million!" Nothing compares.

Besides, it brought me back to when I used to go to shows all the time...just the unity of the people was amazing. Everyone singing together. Uh. Just. Awesome.

I love so many things about them, especially that they are SO humble. I'd imagine it's all too easy for people to put them on a pedestal and begin to be more adoring of them and their music, than of the God the songs are for and about. However, they are true genuine worshippers. They're consistent with reminding the crowd that all the glory goes to God, that it's not about them or the music, it's about the Lord. Their musicianship is top-notch, and they're truly professional.

And of course, they're Aussies, which is the icing on the wonderfully delicious cake.

After the "concert", I bought their new CD because they played a lot of new songs that I didn't have the chance to listen to, yet.

...I have not been able to stop listening to it. It's seriously their best CD ever, and that is an honest statement. I feel like it's because the songs really resonate with their mission statement for the I Heart Revolution; to invade the world with the love of Christ and break all the barriers with the only thing that can: intense, unrelenting, all-powerful, insatiable, LOVE.

I've been in worship mode for the past two days. I just can't get enough of God's presence. I really have come back to my first love, and it's so wonderful. It's just what I needed.

Once again, my intense fascination with Australia returns. PLEASE GOD SEND ME THERE!!
