Ok, so my dog got neutered last Friday. The other day I noticed that the incision area was all red and was draining so I took him to the vet yesterday to make sure that everything was alright. Well, it turns out that his constant licking of the area caused a minor infection so they gave him some medicine, some cream to put on the incision, and ..... a cone-thing. You all know what I'm talking about. They're actually called E-collars. He hates it and subsquentely hates me for putting it on him. But it's for his own good and I think that deep, deep down he's knows that.
All of my mom's tests came back and NO CANCER! They got it all. Thank goodness because I don't know if I could have handled any more bad news.
Hum, what else? I LOOOVE my job. Not all the time, because the kids do have their struggle days, but 4 of 5 days a week I love it. I like living in a town where I can just decide to go enjoy a sporting event. Just this last week, Jo and I went to both KSU vs. ESU basketball games and we're going to a women's game this Sunday. And I'm excited to see my family on Thanksgiving, even though I have to drive to Texas to see them. For the first time in 5 years, I do not have to work the day after Thanksgiving. I actually get to enjoy the holiday without having to rush through it.
Ok, enough of stuff that I love at the moment. Now for things that are not so enjoyable.
1) cold weather - I hate cold weather and having to wear a sweatshirt or long sleeves AND a heavy coat just so I don't freeze.
2) snow - It snowed the other day and I cried. At least it didn't stick. But still.
3) paperwork - The state decided that special education teachers do not do enough paperwork and have added more to out piles.
4) loneliness - I still don't like being by myself and not having anything to look forward to when I get home. This will soon not longer be a problem.
5) cold weather - I mention this again because at this moment my feet are frozen despite having socks on, being covered with a blanket, and having the heater turned on.
6) not being able to cook - Ok, maybe I am able to actually cook something, but I'm not really willing to try. Therefore, my meals are either fast food, sandwiches, or frozen dinners.
This is all for now.
