First SQUEE! I've been refreshing your journal all day waiting for this. You have made me very happy.

Bremsstrahlung Jack Tyler is a good name.

It amuses me that you suspected I was posting today, as I didn't make up my mind to do so until a couple of hours ago. ;-)

Brem's name is...Well, when I chose it, it was very much this science-y term that the Doctor and Rose had turned into a name. And now, I'm so fond of it that it's almost kind of an acceptable boy's name for me...I've possibly lived with this story too long... ;-)

I just knew that there would be an update soonish because you said twice a week. Since the first and third updates were posted on Saturdays, I thought it might be today because there wasn't one yesterday. Either that or I'm psychic.

I think it will be a good name for shouting if he gets into trouble (and since he's the Doctor's son, I'm sure he will). "Bremsstrahlung Jack Tyler!"

Because I'm crazy, I'd forgotten that I keep posting on the weekends... I honestly was thinking of posting tomorrow, and then decided that posting after work is rushed and it's much better to post on the weekends. I must go through this thought process every weekend, as if I hadn't just decided the same thing the weekend before...

As for Brem's name, it is rather impressive shouting name, I agree. Plus, the Doctor likes to overenunciate that dramatic first name, kind of rolling it around in that way he has, you know? Bremsstrahlung... Lots of sounds to play around with there.

Brem would be very offended by your assumption that he gets into trouble. ;-)

Yes. Brem at last. Re-reading this, what surprised me most was how *Brem* he seems to me even a few minutes old. That stare he gives the Doctor? Is so painfully Brem to me. You're absolutely right: He *did* spring fully-formed, and he just waited impatiently while I built a fic around him...

Yes, exactly! Even only a few minutes old, he's so...ineffably Brem.

Also--Brem remains one of my favorite character names, ever. It's so perfectly something Ten would have come up with, it always make me smile. And, oddly, it's perfect for the character you'll ultimately share. I can't imagine his name being anything else.

I wonder how much we're reading of Later Older Brem into a simple gaze from a newborn baby at his father... I like to think that Brem's frantic little mind is already making connections: "So *you're* the one who kept reading me Dr. Seuss..."

You're so sweet about Brem as a character name. I like that it doesn't belong to anyone else. When you say Brem, it's *Brem.* It's his. And he needed a name likr that.

Awww... so cute.

And I love the banter between all three of them! I was alternatively laughing and smiling at this.

Also, have just realised I forgot/didn't see the last chapter. At least, I don't think I did. That was awesome too. The Doctor calming Rose down and explaining stuff to her was lovely! :-)

Then you got an extra treat of two chapters today!

I'm glad it made you laugh and smile, as that was the mood I was going for. I mean, they're in the middle of this crazy life, the best thing they can do is laugh at it, right? jlrpuck's beta comment said that it read a bit like a screwball comedy from the '40s, which I found to be a huge compliment.

And I do love to write all three of them. I enjoy Jackie being as involved as she is. She's a character I think we never got enough of.

And, lo, Brem is unleashed unto the world.

My favorite part of this installment is Rose's thoughts on child birth. Many times, I will be randomly waiting in line or stopped at a traffic light and think of Rose's "It was a bit boring, really" and start chuckling to myself.

The Doctor is just about the only guy who could make even *child birth* be about him and how awesome he is. But honestly? I'd rather have Rose's boring child birth, y'know? This is what happens when you are being written by an author who abruptly loses interest in the pregnancy and is like, Time for the baby already...

And Brem. The moment you have been writing for. The world will never be the same...
