Awww, I love that this affected you this way and that you felt very much in Lestrade's shoes for it. Like, I think to Mycroft it's obvious where they were heading, but Lestrade is completely floored by it.

And yes, I've read a lot where they're already established as a couple, and I always want to know how that happened. I didn't set out to write an origin fic for them, but it ended up turning out that way, and I'm so glad that it works for you.

Mycroft actually has a way with words. He knows his way around a sentence. :-)
