You may or may not know that Daniel Abraham is one of my very favourite writers. (If I haven't bugged you about reading any of his excellent books, please feel bugged right now. ^^) Even if you aren't into fantasy books, let me assure you that Daniel Abraham is a fantastic writer. His characters are some of the most believable and human I've ever seen, his plots are clever and his writing style is very clear and sometimes no-nonsense, sometimes lyrical.
Ok, but this isn't me getting payed for advertising his books (though I wouldn't mind :-P). I just wanted to let you know that Daniel Abraham is doing a really fantastic project on his website right now which should interest all writers among you (so probably all of you). It's called
"The Dog Project"" and is about a short story he is going to write during the next weeks. What's so awesome about this is that every step in the writing of the short story will be published online for us to follow - from the first story outline to individual scenes and the final draft!
So all of you who'd love to see how a professional writer structures his work and goes about writing, this is an excellent chance of observing it first-handedly! I for one am very exciting about seeing this story come to life! :-)
