what an amazing surprise!
JEEEEEESUS. WOAH....
How do I even begin....well, I guess the start would be good.
So, Wednesday I went to my friends house to get some English Language revision done for my exam that was to be taking place the next day *coughlastminutecough*
I stopped at my boyfriends for some lunch when I was done, and I got a phone call. It was my dad saying British Sea Power (for anyone reading who doesn't know who they are, they're one of my favourite bands, and they're amazing ♥) had announced a surprise/secret gig in Morecambe, and he asked me if I wanted to go. I was like....I don't give a damn if I have an exam tomorrow, I'm definitely going!! XD
So, me, my mum, my dad and my uncle all drove to Morecambe and we got there early and it was raining so we just went into the nearest pub/restaurant thing we'd seen. And what do you know... the whole band were in there having their dinners! XD Haha. So we got some drinks and sat down as close as possible a few tables away... we felt too kinda awkward to go up and speak with them then though, it just felt kinda weird, they had family there and stuff.
Anyway, on to the gig~ The place was called The Dome, and apparently its a nightclub... well, it was hardly busy. It has to be the most intimate gig I've ever been to. It was an amazing experience. I was practically on the front row (maybe second, okay) but everything was so clear and the music was absolutely spot on. I have pictures~
And that's all I have uploaded of the gig now... my computer can't cope with Photobucket lolz, its just utter phail. :(
Buuut~ after the gig was over; after finishing on the beautiful "Lately"... we hung around for a bit and got a couple of their plectrums heehee. :D Theeen, my uncle or my dad noticed they'd come back into the crowd, talking to Yan and Hamilton's parents. It had been their dad's birthday and either Yan or Hamilton - can't remember which, shoot me - said he'd forgotten, aww.
EDIT: It was Yan. Thanks for clearing that up for me derobrash! :D
Anyway we went up to speak to them and got some pictures with them. I told HamiltonYan I'd been very irresponsible coming to the gig 'cause I had an A Level exam the next day, but I didn't regret it at all haha! He wished me good luck in my exam. It was so sweet. So I got a picture with him, then my dad got one with us.. then I approached YanHamilton and thanked him for the awesome gig, and asked if he'd have a picture with us. He did :] Then I told him we saw him in the restaurant/pub earlier and he said something like "Oh yeah, I think I remember seeing you now!" hehe.
god, better post the other pics.. I have a nail appointment soon cause its my prom tonight, so I'll leave you with these! I'll edit later XD
