I meant to come by here yesterday as it was a Certain Person's birthday. But I didn't remember my password so after three tries Livejournal kicked my butt with a three hour ban!! Pah. Anyway it just goes to show it has been THAT long!!
What was funny about it though was that I as I racked my brains to recall my passwords from various sites since ten years back or so, I realized they were ALL connected to LotR or Elijah in some way, every single one without exception. That I think is proof of what a pivotal role LotR and E have played in my life. And no, I am not concerned about revealing this fact here... let's just say those passwords were a bit more sophisticated, a little ways beyond "mellon"... :-)
I miss being on here and following Elijah's career. But RL is very busy. My twin boys just turned five, and we are now in the middle of a second adoption process, this time it is a wee baby girl. I am spending time with her in Slovakia now, and it is a happy time.
I am living in France, still doing renovations on our houses 3 years after we moved in... My French is better. My connection to myself and to life is better. I read a lot of theology and I try to take care of my spiritual self. It has been a stressful year for us with lots of dust, lots of workers in the house, money spent on things like bags of concrete, and a sort of relentlessness that comes from clenching your teeth and wanting to push on until you reach that finish line. But we hope to open our little restaurant and Bed and Breakfast at the beginning of summer, so hopefully it will all have been worth it.
It is always interesting to me that a lot of Elijah's fans seem to move on to (or add to their circle of interest) the same celebs, more or less. *cough*Benedict Cumberbatch*cough* And I wonder if anyone else has spotted the talented Mr Adam Scott. I really like his style of acting, some of his movies, and I think his body type is somehow similar to Elijah's (which is probably why I noticed him at all to begin with) It would be fun to know all your thoughts on this.
