Alright everyone, I have a question for all of you. I'm currently writing an AU of the super sekrit kind, and I need your opinions on something. What kind of music do you think Arthur would like best? I'm talking genres, though specific bands would be useful. Classic rock? Alternative? It seems like a minute detail, but it's actually a cornerstone

Personally, I think the best music for Eames to listen to on his spare-time would be something like Frank Zappa, considering it's only chaos (in a good way) and the songs blend in together so you can hardly notice you've listened to five tracks.
As far as Saito goes, not trying to be to stereotypical here, but here are some of the most famous and loved bands that have existed for quite a while in Japan -> D'erlanger, Luna Sea, X Japan, Buck Tick. Personally, I think that Saito would go the best with Luna Sea.
Japanese people tend to favor their own rock over English when they have to decide. Not saying they don't listen to American/European bands at all. But if you need some more help on just Japanese Rock, just send me a message :)
Ariadne, Franz Ferdinand? The Hives, Muse, something like that.
Cobb seems like someone who would listen to Queen to me, perhaps The Kinks as well.
Mal would probably go somewhere along the lines of Cobb, considering they are married. Anastacia otherwise maybe?
Can't imagine Yusuf being that into music, he just seems the kind of guy who has the radio on in the background and listens to that whenever he wants music.
Sorry for the long comment but I hope it was useful to you ^^''

Your view on Yusuf seems unique, but I like the way you said it. He'd be the sort to maybe want something to hum while he's working, but not really looking for any more.

Ah, Japanese music is my own main music genre that I like to listen to, especially the older bands mentioned and back in Japan, they are huge. So it wouldn't be that surprising for him to like something like that.
The thing I have with Arthur and music is that he wont listen to it if he doesn't get something out of it. And very few bands tell stories the way that Nick Cave & the bad seeds does in such a way that he would probably like it. Plus Nick has a very lovely voice to listen to.

And as far as the Japanese rock goes, don't get scared of by their costumes, it's completely normal that they look like that in Japan and really it is expected by now, though the style has gone down the drain the last ten years.
