I keep trying to convince myself that it was progress even though the same pieces of wood are still on the worktable in the shop. I put a second coat on the pieces then ate breakfast while they dried. I flipped them all over and painted the other side of each. I had to leave them 3-4 hours to dry. I did some washm, Roomba'd a couple of rooms, and burned some DVDs.
We had plans to go to the party at E&T's. I decided to wimp out. I was feeling too tired to be sociable. Plus I was focused on getting that second coat on the pieces. I also needed to go to the store and get paint for the walls. Eldred headed out to the party and I headed to Lowes.
I found a couple of battery powered fans that we wanted. I found fence and barn paint for about half the price of house paint. That will work great for the gatehouse walls. I picked up a box of solar yard lights. I don't know whether they are anywhere close to medieval-oid. If not, we can use them in the yard. I priced some of the other items we need for Pennsic. It was a productive trip, but kept me from getting as much painting done as I planned. I did put the second coat on the pieces. Tonight when I get home from work I can start on the next set of pieces.
