Day Off

Apr 26, 2007 10:51

Yesterday was my day off. I had planned to go out fairly early to do errands on the dreaded Woodruff Road. Instead I scheduled the termite inspection for the AM. It needed to be done and the timing worked. Then I messed about defragging the computer and burning a DVD of some Wood Works episodes for Eldred wile reading email and LJ on the laptop. By the time I hit the road it was almost 3.

I ate lunch at Kyoto Express, which was okay but not great. Then I got more rice protein powder from the Vitamin Shoppe. I parked in front of Petsmart since I was getting cat food and didn't want to lug it far. Then I walked the couple of minutes to Best Buy for a camera battery. No luck, but he suggested Batteries Plus further down Woodruff. I walked to Linens 'n Things, bought nothing, then went next door to World Market for McVities Plain Chocolate Digestive Biscuits. Mmmmm.... Yum.

I hurried to the Batteries Plus, got the camera battery, and headed back down Woodruff trying to beat rush hour. It was almost 5 by this time. The traffic was not horrendous but it made me wonder how Eldred stands that drive every day.

I spent the evening watching Alias and wasting time in Second Life. Just about right for a day off.

I have to say I am quite amused by These Old Shades. It started out a bit slow but I kept going because it's on my lis for the Great Romance Reading Project. Now, I am quite enjoying it.

Book I'm listening to: These Old Shades by Georgette Heyer
Books I'm reading: The Knights Next Door by Patrick O'Donnell; Ultrametabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss by Mark Hyman
