Viking Stuff
I'm watching a 2-hour show on National Geographic Channel called "Secrets of the Viking Warriors". It's an interesting show. It's giving me inspiration to work on my garb for Ymir. I'm sure that will fade! :-)
One name caught my attention. I have seen him post on the Regia-NA elist. He turned out to be the national organizer of Regia Anglorum. That reminds me that I never got a reply to my request for information about the neartest group. I sent the email over 3 weeks ago. I don't know whether to let it go or try again. According to the website a member must belong to a local group. The closest group is the one I contacted that covers Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. Georgia is not that far from us. I'm not sure I need another hobby though, so maybe it's for the best that I got no reply.
In checking the Danelaw website more closely, I see that the most recent upcoming appearance is 30 Apr-1 May 2005. Maybe the group is not very active.
