Freeze Warning
I got a weather warning email saying that we have a freeze warning for tonight. Fall is definitely here! I didn't check the weather report before heading to work this afternoon. I grabbed my light jacket as usual. I was a little sorry when I left work at 9pm that I didn't have a heavier coat. I'll have to start paying more attention to the weather report.
Eldred and I had a nice, relaxing day yesterday. We vegged on the couch and watched TV. We watched 3 queued up episodes of Doctor Who. We missed the first episode of the season but had the next 3. I am underwhelmed by the new Doctor Who. I was prepared to like him but he is just too silly. Then he turned all angsty in the last episode. Bah!
I picked up a couple of movies at the library. Eldred was unsure about Final Cut. I thought it might be intriguing. We only lasted about 5 minutes into it. When the kid died that was it for us and we turned it off. It was too dark for our tastes. Next up was Party Girl. This was definitely a lighter movie, but not as funny as I had hoped. It did have some amusing library humor and was mildly entertaining.
I finished The Lamplighter and turned it back in today which is when it was due. Next on the list is The Hidden Hand. Since I didn't plan ahead, I'll have to read something else with waiting for it to arrive from another library. I found The Gates Ajar online. I don't really like reading books online, but this is only 77 pages, so I can probably manage that. I have several inserted before the next landmark book. It's a slow process but I'll eventually get to the 20th century!
