Life sure knows when to deal the good ol' double whammy. This whole, week, for instance, has been a great example of ultra-crapitude (maybe that needs two 'p's. who knows?) Well, first off, last Friday, we get hit with this huge math project. Well, I knew it was coming, but who actually pays attention to stuff like that? Not me, that's for sure. Especially when I could've sworn I heard her saying that we had until the end of term. Then, all of a sudden, I come down with acute tuberculosis. Not literally, of course, or I wouldn't be this flip, but still....hacking up a lung or two every couple of minutes is not fun. alliensis, cette_vie, swirlycurlzz> and others were all nice about it, of course, to a degree, but who wants to be nice and cuddly with someone who's hacking phlegm all over the place? So I took Monday off, a good move on my part, and I didn't take Wednesday off, a bad move. By then, of course, the hacking cough had regressed to a full-blown cold, and the phlegm was now coming from two orifices (excuse the graphics). Should've stayed home. On the other hand, wouldn't want to have missed the first certamen practice...or maybe I would've (re <lj user= for the gruesome details). So today, I decided to spare my lungs and stay off, a decision which led to long and boringness. Would've liked to talk to alliensis, just for the heck of it, but I know he doesn't like the phone anyway, and probably wouldn't appreciate me calling up just for the sake of chatting when he indubitably has so much work to do. Poor boy really got hammered with the teachers this year. Still, respite will come this weekend... he's going down to Princeton to visit Yiting, lucky bastard. I've decided that it's useless for me to waste time and energy getting jealous over her... especially since if I have anything to worry about, all the pouting in the world isn't going to change that.
On a slightly more cheerful note, I too shall be heading to destinations unknown this weekend... Montreal, precisely, to see Meredith. That'll be really nice....the last time I saw her was in March, at St. Patrick's Day, right before she flew out to Italy.... fun, but not really enough time to see her. This won't really be enough time either, but it'll be more. *feeling slightly cheered* I will now bid thee farewell with this parting thought:

Given: ABC is a right angle
DBE is a right angle
DBC is common to both angles
Prove: ABD is congruent to CBE
