Today's writing prompt is Destruction of the Earth. It is my firm opinion the best sci-fi begins or ends with this. i mean, if you are going for stakes, what stakes could be higher than the destruction of your planet?
Advice - Don't go easy on your characters. They should never have it easy. No matter how big, bad or powerful your characters are, make sure that what they face is something their bigness, badness, and powerfulness can not get them out of.
