I've decided I am using Nano this year to experiment with different techniques. I'm trying out new ways of writing, playing with using word choices to develop character, experimenting with plot devices. I'm thinking of Nano this year as writing practice, trying out new things where it doesn't matter if I get it wrong or do it badly. I'll get better, and find out what works and what doesn't.
