(no subject)
So I got then internet on Monday but couldn't connect because my network adapter (ether net card) doesn't work. I tried to plug it straight into the router but someone else that lives close to me also has a router called "linksys" and my computer could only pick up on theirs.
Tuesday I called to stop the internet because I couldn't connect and they told me to call HP, so I did. I decided to get my computer fixed over the phone with HP for 60$. It turned out that I had to reinstall Windows XP, completely clearing my hard drive. Then it still didn't fix the ether net card, but somehow it was able for me to connect through USB. So I am still a little bit pissed off, one I kind of feel like I have wasted 60$ two I had to wipe my hard drive clean. I was able to get almost everything that I wanted before I cleared it. I for got to back up all my book marks, is really the only thing that I missed. Although I don't mind starting fresh on the computer, it was something I wanted to do last summer but never did. Now I have to reinstall EVERYTHING from the internet, all the updates that a computer acquires in 4 years, yeah its going to take a while.
So thats my internet story, thank goodness pay day in tomorrow! Oh and I'll be visiting Vancouver this week too, that should be sweet!
