"If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith, so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing." - 1 Corinthians 13:2
I have no main topic of interest today, so I'm just going to skip around to things that occur to me.
Went to Turkey Run a few weeks back with friends. It rained for the first hour or so and we got soaked, and the ground stayed muddy the whole time. Was a lot of fun though, as there are some really nice views along the trail. I'm getting kidnapped to Indiana Beach at the end of June with the same crowd, which so far I've avoided (for the out of state readers, it's a cross between a county fair and an amusement/water park that I can only assume is populated by white trash and overpriced corn dogs).
Scott's wedding in Ohio was a nice family trip. I finally picked up Watchmen from the library to read on the drive over there, which is a pretty awesome read and I'm sure beats the movie I never got around to. Highlight of the weekend (for me, at least) was a tie between getting kicked out of the indoor pool by hotel security at 3 am, and sitting four seats down from a toast to the happy couple at the reception that was basically one long, rambling, unintentional double entendre.
Amusing things of the day: they finally turned off analog television signals. Took them long enough. People basically waited until today to do anything about it, so it's not like postponing it really helped. Didn't we learn this in highschool? Adding an extension to an assignment doesn't actually make you do it any earlier. Also, I bought a cheap laser light for the cat at the grocery store. It says something about giving your pet exercise on the packaging; the only exercise he's getting is running away in terror from the light. My cat is a coward and can be intimidated by a red dot on the floor.
Not-amusing things of the day: our building washing machine decided to fill up with water and stop at the end of the cycle that I tried to do before work. I just spent 10 minutes trying to pull clothes out and wring the excess water. Hopefully the dryer will take care of the rest. Wonder if I still have plans tonight.
