"Peek not through keyholes, lest ye be vexed." - Duma Key
"I have no trouble with my enemies. But my goddamn friends ... they are the ones that keep me walking the floor at night." - Oscar Levant
"As Mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality." - George Washington
Voted for Obama this morning. There was a church about a block down the road with a voting center set up, and it took like 20 minutes at most (including buying a McGriddle on the way home). I feel bad for people that have to wait in lines and such, although this year you could vote early just about anywhere. Fortunately I don't work tonight, so I can watch all the election coverage after I get out of class.
I know I haven't written a lot about anything substantial lately. My own life is going fairly well, although this just means that I worry a lot about what might go wrong. Two of my best friends are going through some really difficult times though, and I try to partition most of my worrying for their use. At least today looks to be a pretty good day all around. In hindsight it's amusing, actually; the consolation I want to offer them is the same thing I've needed to realize for years.
