A Time for Every Purpose

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain." - Litany Against Fear, Dune

Life is almost under control these days. Small annoyances (like breaking my glasses, and not really having the disposable income to go buy new ones), but I think I've got a handle on the major ones. Steven gets back next week, and it'll be nice to have company again. I'll probably spend half a day cleaning just so it's not obvious that I haven't been.

Mostly I've been reading lately; I bought some really used cheap books on Amazon.com, and they showed up in the mail already. Also I may buy the finale to that thrice-accursed Twilight series on the way back from Ivy today, because I think Borders knocks off like half the default price. My friends are going to Alabama this weekend for some reason, but maybe they'll be back by my free day on Sunday. Work already called today, but it's my first day off in forever and I'd really rather not go in tonight.

Good things will be related as they occur. I've learned not to jynx them prior.
