"And they really are just awful. They grow increasingly more absurd and self-indulgent as the series progresses. And yet I keep reading them. Why? I'm not sure. It's like when you start eating something that's really bad for you, and you don't even like how it tastes, but you just keep eating it because it's damn addictive and you can't stop. That's how Twilight is." - xkcd forums

"Tell me what you regard as your greatest strength, so I will know how best to undermine you; tell me of your greatest fear, so I will know which I must force you to face; tell me what you cherish most, so I will know what to take from you; and tell me what you crave, so that I might deny you." - Darth Plagueis

The novel version of Jumper is so much better than the movie. Anyone who finds me a copy of the sequel (Reflex) will be my new best friend. I'm not kidding on that point, as the position has been recently abdicated. The library is also missing a good half-dozen NJO books, so I grabbed a couple others like Snow Crash that I've never read but probably should until I figure out how to track them down.

Hancock is worth watching if you're bored and easily amused. We only saw the first 20 minutes of Get Smart before storms hit Monticello, so I can't much comment on it. If the weather looks ok this weekend we'll probably try to go back up for Dark Knight, which I'd stand in a tornado to watch.
